  1. Watching this video gave me an idea for our speech writing work next term...

I have been hearing the world 'regions' being said in the media quite a bit lately. The word 'regions' is almost said as though we live in a strange, mythical place far away from the cities. It would be great to create persuasive speeches to argue that this is not a bad thing but something to treasure. Is anybody going to take up this challenge?

    Cheers,

    1. Hi Alaskah,

I always visit these places. They are near where I live. We often go fishing, kayaking and spend lots of time walking at the beach. We are on the West Coast so we have beautiful sunsets.

      Cheers,

    1. Hello Reuben,

The video was created by Jase at http://katabatic.co.nz/ Check out his webpage. I posted this to show off how great the West Coast is. The video was filmed with a drone and with various cameras. Maybe email Jase and ask him.

  8. Kia Ora Mr McAulay’s class,

Hi, my name is Molly from Karoro School, just down the road from you. I really enjoyed watching the video about the beach sunset.

All the amazing views you have incorporated in your video really holds the attention of the person watching. The music just adds onto that! I tried really really hard to find something that needed improving but I couldn't!

The way this video is created is really amazing, it just goes to show why New Zealand is such a great place! When the person throws the stick into the water and the dog chases the stick the ripples in the darkness are so cool!

Visit me at my blog http://karoromollyw.blogspot.co.nz/

    Thanks for sharing,

My name is Madison and I live on the West Coast of New Zealand. I enjoyed seeing a different topic on why we live on the West Coast and this is one of the reasons why I do.

I loved seeing how you showed why people live on the West Coast and instead of a photo you posted a video, which is something new that I have seen. I also loved seeing how this video showed the sunset and the beautiful beach.

Did you create this video or did you find it from a website? Was there a certain topic that yous were focusing on or did you just post that because, it was interesting. In other words it was really great watching this video.

This video was really nice showing the beaches and also showing that it is a really great place to live in because, most people think that this is a horrible place but, really it is a nice and sometimes quiet place to live.

Thank you for sharing this video and I hope you can share more amazing videos like this again sometime.

    Kind Regards

    Madison

I like the way you did everything and I loved the sunset and the person playing fetch with their dog. I liked the colour of the water and, like I said, everything.

I couldn't find anything for you to work on but it’s perfect. Next time you could use lots more different screens. You could look at my blog to at http://karorojacksh.blogspot.co.nz/

  12. Kia ora Mr McAulay’s class,

I am from the West Coast in the South Island. I really enjoyed your video you made. What I liked about that video was everything. It had thrilling sunsets and waves crashing, a boy chucking a stick into the water when sunset shimmers across the river. There is no better video than it.

I have not seen a better sunset. All these videos are really good, keep it up . Did you use a drone to record this video?

Once again I really liked your video and if you want to have a look at my blog here is the link http://karorobradleyc.blogspot.co.nz/

I really enjoyed your time lapses of the beach and the sun I found that really cool Ive always wanted to be able to make one but I’m not as good at a computer like other people.

Next time you could made it longer and show the sky the rocks and shells and birds and make one at your school I think that will be cool.

You are really good at the time lapses thing.

    Dear Mr McAulay,
My name is Jayden, I’m from Karoro School and if you would like to check out my blog you can Click Here

I really liked the video you made using a drone. I think you could do nothing to improve this video because it already is very good. The quality was good and so was the music that went with it. I was just wondering do you need a ipad to use the drone?

I’m at Karoro School, just down the road from you school.

I like the video I especially like the different ways you have the drone going. I have a drone too called a Blade Glimpse it isn't the same as the Parrot Bebop drone you have.

You could do the same kinda thing but with the Barber in the morning in town. The Barber is only in Greymouth so it will be cool to make a video to show to that.

  17. Hi Room 7 I am from Karoro School I really like your video on the sunset of the coast. There is good technique In your video. Next time you could put some other parts of the Coast like the rivers and some parts of the town. My favorite part of the video was when you showed the beaches.

I have a question how long did it take you to make the video? Next time you could make your video a bit shorter because I seen some parts more than once or twice. It looks cool at the start when it shows the logs on the beach.

If you have a chance you could put some photos of other parts of the west coast.

  19. Hallo Mr McAulay’s Class

I liked how you made that sunset on the beach video did you actually make that video and are those beaches New Zealand beach. If they are what ones?

Next time you could make the video a little shorter because it was one minute and forty seconds long. But overwise it was great.

I loved how it was all dark but bright at the same time and how you probably spent a lot of time doing the video.
