Ko te tangi o te wai,
E taka ana ki runga i te papa,
Ka rongohia.
Pakū ana ki waho ra
Te Kōrori me te haruru;
Rere wātea ana,
Ka kitea.
The cry of water,
As it pounds the surface below,
Is heard.
It gushes forth
With a rumble and a stir;
Flowing freely,
It is seen.
