Inspiration For Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori

10 comments:

  1. Kia ora,

Nga mihi o te wiki o te reo māori.
    (Welcome to māori language week)

As part of our Tuhi mai tuhi atu blogging this week, we will be creating pronunciation guides for our local area. This will let people from other places know a bit more about where we are from and help us practice the pronunciation of local place names.

    Ka mau te wehi.

  2. Kia ora girls, this is really funny but totally helpful! We like your recap at the end. We are surrounded by so many names that people don't or can't pronounce correctly. The one we were thinking about was Ngakawau which people pronounce at Knocka-war!!! Crazy.

  5. Hi there! My name's Oscar from Manukau, Te waka Ako Waikowhai Primary School. That was a very good video and it helped me learn to pronounce different maori words. It was a great use of green screen and the phone calls were really well acted out. It reminded me of when it was maori language week and we were learning to pronounce maori words. Have you thought about talking just a little bit clearer because it was just a little hard to understand. If you would like to see my learning my blog address is https://wpsoscarc.blogspot.co.nz
